โ ๏ธ IMMERSIVE SCENARIOS & PLAYER SAFETY
The JEC NVG Weekender is designed to create a highly immersive Milsim experience, and that means some scenarios may feel considerably more intense than a normal airsoft game.
As part of the storyline, players may be required to role-play as detainees, hostages, suspects or other characters. This can include controlled use of restraints such as handcuffs, temporary restraint and, where appropriate to the scenario, having the face covered after capture.
Some scenes may portray violence, interrogation and torture for dramatic effect. These are simulated scenarios intended to create atmosphere and tell the story โ no genuine violence or harm will take place.
๐ YOUR SAFETY COMES FIRST
Before the event begins, everyone will receive a comprehensive safety briefing explaining exactly what to expect, what is and isn't permitted, and the clearly defined word and procedure for stopping an activity immediately.
If you use the stop word, the scenario stops immediately. There is no embarrassment, no questions asked and no expectation that you continue.
All restraints and scenario effects will be used under event staff supervision and within the event's safety rules. Players will not be expected to tolerate anything that is unsafe or outside the agreed boundaries of the event.
Immersion is the goal. Safety is the priority.
If you're looking for a Milsim experience where you genuinely don't know what is going to happen next, this is going to be one hell of a weekend.
Know the rules. Know the stop procedure. Then get ready to enter the story.
๐ SEARCHES, FRISKING & PLAYER SAFETY
As part of the immersive Milsim experience, searches and controlled frisk/pat-downs may form part of the gameplay.
Players may be searched when captured, detained, acting as hostages, moving through checkpoints or during other scenario-driven situations. Searches may be carried out on both male and female players, depending on the scenario.
To keep things professional and safe:
- All searches will be conducted in accordance with the event's safety rules.
- A second person will supervise searches.
- Searches will be conducted professionally and with respect for personal boundaries.
- Players will be briefed beforehand on what is and isn't permitted.
- No inappropriate or intimate searching will take place.
- Players can use the event's stop procedure at any time if they are uncomfortable or feel unsafe.
- If the stop word is used, the activity stops immediately.
๐ YOU'LL BE TAUGHT HOW TO DO IT
You won't simply be thrown into a scenario and told to search someone.
As part of the training package, you'll receive instruction on professional searching and frisking techniques, giving you the knowledge and confidence to conduct searches safely, consistently and realistically during the Milsim.
You'll learn how to approach a search, communicate with the person being searched, maintain control of the situation and carry out the process professionally.
The aim is to make the experience feel realistic without compromising player welfare.
Professional. Controlled. Immersive. Safe.
